May 12th, 2012 through June 23rd, 2012

A one-man exhibition by Chicago artist Mauricio Sepulveda

Closing reception: Saturday, March 3rd from 5:00pm-10:00pm:

Mauricio Sepulveda was born in South America in 1963. Re-established in New York in the 1980’s, both working in the remodeling business as well as studying multi art techniques in school. This formulated his unique approach to art, which includes constructed elements. The divine and its creation has been a constant reminder in his life’s work and is represented by using symbols such as the cross to symbolize human salvation. The result of this rare combination is an exhilarating experience.

Mauricio Sepulveda is a local artist who attended Villa Alemana school of Art in Chile. He was inspired by artists such as Fernando Botero to use sculptural elements to portray spiritual ideas in everyday life. This exhibition will be his first formal exhibition in Chicago.

Please join us for the closing reception at Prospectus in the Pilsen neighborhood, the heart of today’s Mexican Renaissance. Your presence will strengthen the local development of the arts in times like the present.

Free admission. Parking will be available.
